| The CME and the CBOT plan to distribute an upgraded version of WinJammer by the end of the year. With this new release, the CME will require transmissions made after January 31, 1998 to be made via the Internet using menu options built into WinJammer. This does not affect transmissions made to the CBOT, which has not yet set a date for accepting Internet transmissions. This bulletin is a reminder for you to obtain Internet access if you do not already have it. Specifically, you will need to ensure that the computer running WinJammer has the ability to send and receive Internet E-mail. Alternatively, you can export the WinJammer transmission file to a floppy disk or network drive and manually send it as an E-mail attachment. As a last option, you can also mail us a disk containing the transmission file. If you have any questions, would like more information about obtaining Internet access, or are interested in becoming a test firm for the upcoming release, please call the Audit Department at (312) 930-3230 or e-mail us at audits@cme.com |
